New Mexico Bullsnakes Welcome Kenny Thomas as the New Ambassador and Minority Owner of the Bullsnakes
KENNY THOMAS IS THE LATEST ADDITION TO THE BULLSNAKES ORGANIZATION
(ALBUQUERQUE, NM) – UNM basketball great Kenny Thomas and the New Mexico Bullsnakes, the state’s newest professional basketball team playing in the ABA, are working together as the Bullsnakes get set to begin their inaugural season in November.
Thomas, who played 11 seasons in the NBA, is the Bullsnakes’ minority owner and will also serve a role as team ambassador. The Bullsnakes are thrilled to receive support from someone who is such a fixture in the New Mexico basketball community.
“Kenny was a great player at Albuquerque High School and at UNM,” Nick Lourenco, Bullsnakes owner, said. “We feel like someone with his stature in the community, and with his basketball knowledge, will give us the momentum we need as we head into an exciting first season.”
Kenny’s work with the organization will include; Acting as the global spokes person for the team, participating in community relations and conducting personal appearances on behalf of the Bullsnakes, working closely with Bullsnakes players as an advisor, and helping to organize basketball camps in the state of New Mexico.
