Bullsnakes wins first ever ABA league game

Today the New Mexico Bullsnakes of the American Basketball Association played their second game of the regular season against fellow league member the North Texas Prowlers.

The McDermott center, home of the Bullsnakes held a nice energetic crowd excited for tip-off.

The game started with both teams trading baskets early in the first quarter. The Bullsnakes began to pull away with inspired defense. The Bullsnakes lead after the first quarter was twelve.

Bullsnakes star Devon Williams went down early with a minor injury and should be expected back in the lineup next week.

By halftime the Bullsnakes held a comfortable lead with the score at 64-53. By the third quarter the Bullsnakes were able to gain even more distance with a steady 16pt lead.

The Prowlers did make a significant run, coming within 1pt of the Bullsnakes in the fourth quarter. The Bullsnakes proceeded with a stifling press to give themselves some breathing room to come away with a 115-109 victory which gives the Bullsnakes a 1-1 record in league play.
