GAME SUMMARY: Saturday’s evening game was everything a Bullsnakes fan could hope for. Excitement was abundant from tip-off all the way to the final buzzer. The crowd was large and engaged as the Bullsnakes took the court for the first time in three weeks.
This was also the first time that a Bullsnakes home game was broadcast live on Facebook. The opponent was the OC Novastars from Los Angeles, California who are considered a high-ranking team in the ABA.
The 1st quarter started with the Bullsnakes coming out attacking the basket from the get go. From the outside the Bullsnakes were a little cold, yet were able to build a steady ten point lead throughout the first half of action. The points were spread around between the Bullsnakes during the 1st quarter. It was a matter of which Bullsnake was going to get hot.

The Novastars took advantage and made the game much more interesting.

The 3rd quarter started with intensity as each team looked to get a handle on the game. Each team traded baskets for about half of the 3rd quarter until the Bullsnakes found another gear. From then on, it was a series of runs by several players. Lamar Morinia and Devon Williams both got hot in the quarter. Seth Warfield was also hot behind the 3-point line. Jared Fuller also came in with his own mini-run.
Blake Mitchem made his debut as a Bullsnake with a thunderous breakaway slam which got the crowd going. Josh Holmes was also lights out. By now the Bullsnakes had built a very large lead which seemed to deflate the already tired Novastars. The Bullsnakes went away with a 145-111 victory improving their record to 6-2.
The 4th quarter was an exhibition of energy as the Bullsnakes were running away with the big lead. It was only a matter of the clock reaching zero.
