Thursday’s game was a special game as it marks the end of the last home games for the Bullsnakes this inaugural season. The Southwest Desertcats from El Paso, Tx met up with the Bullsnakes in a week day game which featured a future potential rivalry. The Desertcats may be joining the ABA come next season which is exciting news here in the Southwest region of the ABA.

The game started with the Bullsnakes and the Desertcats trading baskets with the game being tied at 11 all in the 1st quarter. The Bullsnakes began their run with the help of Daniel Delgado and Lamar Morinia. Brady Patterson added to the run which helped the Bullsnakes take the lead that they never relinquished.

The Bullsnakes built up the lead in the 2nd quarter to the point where Head Coach BB Rico could run through his bench throughout the rest of the game. Jared Fuller and Seth Warfield added solid shooting and rebounding. Mikal Monette was able to rest along with Devon Williams during this game.

Blake Mitchem was a solid presence in the middle with the extra minuted due to Mikal Monette resting this game. Josh Holmes continued his stellar play as the Bullsnakes built up a very large lead by the time the 3rd quarter was over. The Bullsnakes came away with a 140-89 victory which brings their record to 9-2.

Next up is the North Texas Prowlers. The Bullsnakes will be making their second road trip this time to Denton, Tx to play the Prowlers on Saturday. The last time these two met, the Bullsnakes came away with the victory 109-115 at the MAC. This time the Prowlers will be looking to even the score.

The challenge for the Bullsnakes will be getting the W as they continue their push towards the ABA Playoffs. This Saturday will perhaps be one if not the biggest games of the season. Devon Williams and Mikal Monette will be back in action for this big game.

The game will be broadcast on Facebook Live, you can tune in to watch what promises to be a truly exciting match-up. Tonight’s game against the Desertcats was a great way to prepare for the road ahead. The Bullsnakes were able to accomplish their goals in getting everybody involved. Now it’s on to Texas.
